Respect is something that everyone and I mean everyone should be given no matter if you like them or not. You don't have to like the person at all, but they still deserve to be respected no matter what. Do unto others as you would want to be done to you. In other words if you want to be respected then you need to respect others. Who cares if they are different from you or what you disagree with they are still people and they deserve to be treated as such. That also goes with whoever is the President of the United States.
You don't have to like whoever is in charge, but they were put in office for a reason and a purpose and should be treated as anyone else: with respect due to their station. I know that there is a lot of people who doesn't like President Trump right now and that's fine. You don't have to, but you shouldn't be talking crap about him or try to get him to be overthrown just because of that. It doesn't matter if he has made mistakes in the past or even if he is right now because everyone makes them all the time. That just makes him human just like the rest of us.
It's true that respect should be earned, but if you don't respect someone yourself then why should that person respect you in turn. It goes both ways and if you're not going to do your part then they aren't going to do theirs. This world is crazy and messed up as it is let's not add on to it by being jerks to other people just because we disagree over what they are doing. If someone is saying mean things to you be a bigger person and just walk away from the situation instead of saying something back because it will just escalate things. Just respect other people and stop hating on them for no reason.
